Two steps for staying healthy this winter

ekferraco

This winter, my family has caught a few bugs, but I've somehow managed to stay healthy each time. That's a big win for me! Usually, I catch everything going around. But I've discovered a simple two-step method to fight off germs, and I thought I'd share it in case it helps you too!

First up, Zicam nasal swabs. I use them as soon as I feel a tickle in my throat or an ache in my body. I always keep them handy! I stock up when they're on sale (Walgreens sometimes has a buy one, get one half off deal). They're easy to use and now come in a nasal spray too. This stuff is packed with zinc to boost our immunity.

The second thing is elderberry lozenges. They taste great and work wonders. Elderberry is known for its health benefits, like helping to keep colds and flu at bay. If you want to know more, here's a great resource.

On top of that, I wash my hands a lot. I also wipe down doorknobs, microwave and fridge handles, and other surfaces we all touch. This definitely helps reduce the spread of germs, but if one manages to sneak through, my immune system is ready!

If I do get sick, I keep using Zicam and elderberry lozenges because they can help shorten the illness. But so far, I haven't needed to this season!

Stay healthy, my friends!

(Check with your doctor to make sure this is safe for you.)
